Rock Climbing Youth Retreat in Joshua Tree

Joshua Tree National Park is one of our favorite locations for a youth retreat. There are lots of learning opportunities in this desert fauna environment. Our Joshua Tree Desert Introduction Program exposes students to intricate living systems while introducing them to outdoor living with a reasonable level of challenge and high level of comfort.

The students sleep in tents, or possibly under the stars, in a base camp or on the trail, and are responsible for cooking meals as a group, developing low-impact camping skills, and learning how to survive in one of the most dynamic landscapes in the world. Adventure activities include hikes, exploring caves, bouldering and rock climbing.

The impression Joshua Tree National Park leaves may be unforgettable, but equally enduring are the new skills, attitudes, and self-discoveries that students learn after this style of program. But don’t take our word for it. Check out this video from one of our recent Joshua Tree programs.
