Many excellent camping areas are nestled in the San Jacinto Mountains at an elevation of 5, 200 ft. just east of Hemet, California. There are options for tent camping, cabin stays and even a beautiful conference center as well as a summer camp. This area has a diverse ecosystem that allows the teaching of many eco-concepts such as adaptation and interrelatedness that lends itself to natural history interpretation.
Activities available include low and high ropes courses, outdoor climbing, archery, nature discovery, and hiking with a chance to trek on the famous Pacific Crest Trail. A recreation field with over 70, 000 square feet of beautiful grass can be used for soccer, football, softball, and group games.
Campers can enjoy nightly campfires sitting alongside a pond while watching the sunset behind the mountains.
