Imagine a youth surf camp hosted along the Southern California beach front. Our Surf Camp program area boasts 45 acres of coastal land devoted to habitat preservation, education, recreation, and an opportunity to experience the outdoors in a coastal marine environment.
Positive Adventures offers youth programs for schools and organizations which include such activities as surf lessons, retreats, outdoor education, and leadership development. Each day, the salty ocean breeze creates new sand patterns outside your cabin or tent.
In the evening, you’ll fall asleep to the soothing sounds of the surf. Participants share meals under a shaded dining facility with an exquisite view of the Pacific Ocean, Point Loma, and the Coronado Islands off Baja California. This unique setting offers students an opportunity to experience first-hand the interrelationships between ocean, tides, land, and both aquatic and terrestrial life.
Students will also have the opportunity to participate in a service project to collect hundreds of pounds of trash in Imperial Beach, CA. This teaches the importance of environmental stewardship and creates a connection with the local ecosystem and community.
